The day the Nurses thought i was dead!
I always set out this day every year to appreciate God and Mr Okorocha for standing in d gap 10yrs ago. it was on that faithful night, the nurses thought it was over after running around several hospitals in search of blood. Apparently my elder sister ( i love her fighting spirit) was a beat excited about my condition in the car and fell into a ditch when she was begging me not to go, i clould remember her saying Obi hang on! by then darling Mr Okorocha and his wife aunty Ihuoma had called the house and learnt my condition got worse n hv bn rushed to the hospital so they came searching for us as my mother was out of the country then and entrusted aunty Ihuoma so she was always calling to check. i was tranfered to their car and the search for blood continued as my sister held the mobile drip that the doctor said must never stop flowing. Getting to Announciation hospital where thy confirmed they had blood, i thought i could make it in there and get some blood transfused. Just as i was about walking into the hospital gate...( )that was all i cld remember. I saw myself on another end racing with a batton to hand over at a certain gate ahead of me then i heard a voice, the voice sounded so mascurlian, and so confident shouting Jesus Christ has paid the price! repeatedly with so much authority and then he screamed Obinna ( as my dad fundly called me) come back in Jesus name!!, then my eyes opened, my sister and aunty Ihuoma couldnt believe it as they had already started shouting, i could remember aunty Ihuoma sreaming ''kedi ihe nga akoro charity'' ( what wld i tell charity?i.e my mum) and when Mr Okorocha realised i was responding he beckoned the nurses and the doctor who have given up on me and i was rushed into the theater that same night. It was indeed a day of my life i would never forget. God said he seeketh for that man that would stand in the gap and Mr Okorocha did. Today i celebrate you, I thank God for your life so far and for your great achievements. I will always remember you for this day 10 yrs ago. God bless you sir. Still at work catch full version of the story this weekend on my blog. See you then *)
